A Few Words

About Us

Welcome!

Who are the Friends of Frying Pan Farm Park?

The Friends group is a 501(c)3 whose mission is to support and protect the park founders’ vision of protecting the resources of the park.  It actively supports the park through advocacy, financial assistance, and programming support.

A key element of program support are the farm animals which the Friends group owns.  The animals are on loan to the park and cared for by park staff using funds donated by the Friends for the animals upkeep and well being including food, medical care, shelter, facilities, and other services the animals may need.

The Friends group actively supports and co-sponsors a variety of regular events at the park including horse shows, Spring Farm Days, 4-H Fair, and Fall Harvest Days.

In addition, the Friends have historically considered and provided financial assistance for a variety of community and park needs in keeping with their mission.  This has included items ranging from scholarships for children to attend summer camps, equipment, facilities upkeep like pasture fences, summer music series, bluegrass series, and staff training.
