Contest Rules

• All photographs must be the entrant’s original work, and have been taken at Frying Pan Farm Park in Herndon, VA. 
• Photos may contain images of people engaged in Frying Pan Farm Park activities.
• Entrants must choose only one entry category for each photo entered.  
• Photos must be submitted in .jpg form and be no more than 4 MB in size.  If you do not know how to convert an iPhone photo to this format, please complete the entry form without uploading the image(s) and email Bonnie Horowitz at bonniehtz@gmail.com for further instructions.
• No identifying marks or watermarks should appear on the photograph to preserve anonymity for fair judging.
• All photos may be used by the Park Authority or Friends of Frying Pan Farm Park for any purpose they choose including promotional or fundraising purposes.
• Youth are defined as persons who have not reached their 17th birthday by April 30, 2022
• The decisions of the contest judges are final.

Awards

• Winners will receive certificates and will have their winning photos digitally displayed on the Friends website, social media channels and in the newsletter.

Copyrights and Permissions

• The photographer must hold the copyright to all photos they submit to the contest.
• Photographers retain ownership of all copyrights.
• By submitting an image to this photo contest, you hereby grant to Friends of Frying Pan Farm Park and the Park Authority a non-exclusive right and permission to use the image and your entry.
• Frying Pan Farm Park employees and judges are not eligible to enter. All other Park Authority volunteers, employees and their families may  enter.
• Participants must comply with all rules of the Fairfax County Park Authority while on park grounds. Entering the stalls, paddocks and pens of any animal is prohibited. The feeding of farm animals is prohibited.
